Not sure where to start?

We recommend the smallest piece of work that answers your question.

FAQ

Common questions about working with TrustCircuit.

What exactly does TrustCircuit do?

We test platforms the way a fraud ring or an abusive actor would: account takeover, payout diversion, seller and listing fraud, refund abuse, review manipulation, and more. You get evidence, severity ratings, and a retest.

Which engagement should we begin with?

Most teams start with the free preview — 90 minutes on one public flow, no cost, no contract. If you already know the one flow worrying you, a Single-Flow Audit is a faster paid entry point. We recommend the smallest piece of work that answers your question.

How is this different from a penetration test?

A penetration test checks your code. We check your business — the seller quietly running four extra accounts, the payout that changed destinations overnight, the refund pattern nobody's flagged yet. None of that shows up in a vulnerability scan.

Do you need access to sensitive customer data?

Rarely, and never by default. Public access covers most of what we test — the same screens any prospective user sees. Anything beyond that requires a signed scope and authorization letter before we begin.

Do you build or sell fraud-detection software?

No. We test what you already have and tell you where it breaks. What you do next is your call: build it, buy it, or hire for it.

Can you help if we don't have a dedicated trust & safety function yet?

Yes — that's a common starting point. The free preview or a Single-Flow Audit works whether or not you have a team in place to act on the findings.

Can TrustCircuit help close the gaps you find?

Yes, through Fractional Head of Trust & Safety, our ongoing engagement. The Audit and Single-Flow Audit produce evidence and priorities; you can close them with your own team, or bring us in on a recurring basis to keep testing as the platform changes.

Where does TrustCircuit work?

TrustCircuit is based in Northeast Ohio and serves organizations across the United States, primarily through remote engagements.

How is pricing determined?

The free preview, the Rapid Risk Review, and the Single-Flow Audit have fixed or tightly-ranged prices — see /services. The Audit and the Fractional retainer are priced from a starting figure because scope genuinely varies by platform size and how many abuse types apply; you'll always know the number before work begins.
